Typhos is 2 ft 4.5in

Maya is 3ft 6in

I used a US Quarter as my ruler with 0.995 inches. :3

fuck i need to start feeding Silas and Typhos more. Theyre definitely on the small side :( gonna bump both of them to rat pups next feed

Snake Update: Maya; A Lesson for Me

So ever since I had moved Maya into her 40 gallon in late Feb/early March. She hasn’t been eating well like she normally does and has started to bulk up. Quiet a bit actually. (Some people may say she is getting ready for breeding but that isnt the case for her.) Anyways, even her neck… like just behind her head began to develop fat deposits.

Ive been worried about her weight/length ratio for quite sometime I had even asked some fellow tumblr users their opinion. They all said she looked fine. I, being the worried snake momma I am, was wary.

I am constantly comparing Maya’s size to other ball pythons at around the same age.

I feel like she is fat but yet really short. >_<

Maya did so well today!

Today, I used her in an educational program and was she introduced to about 80 5th grade students over the course of a few hours (only for a few minutes at a time).

My little trooper. Everyone loved her and thought she was gorgeous <3
